How Do I Get to Brisa Bahía?

Reaching our secluded Caribbean retreat is simple, safe, and beautifully scenic. Once your booking is confirmed, we’ll send you detailed logistics—but here’s a quick overview to plan your journey.

Step-by-Step: Getting Here

Step 1: Arrive in Medellín

Fly into José María Córdova International Airport (MDE) in Medellín. We can arrange a pickup to a wellness-friendly hotel in the El Poblado district

Step 2: National Flight

The next day, we’ll help arrange a short 1-hour flight from Olaya Herrera Airport (EOH) to either Capurganá or Acandí.

Final Step: Boat to Paradise

Fly into Capurgana or Acandi Airports from Medellin. We’ll meet you at the local airport. From there, it’s just a 5–20 minute boat ride to Brisa Bahía.

Helpful Information for the Trip to Bahía Aguacate

*Note: The international airport Jose Marie (MDE) is outside of city. The national

airport (EOH) is only 10 minutes from the El Poblado area of Medellin.

  • Location: Brisa Bahía is in Aguacate, which is close to Capurganá. You may access us by a 5–10 minute boat shuttle or a 45 minute hike from Capurganá. (Please note, hiking while carrying heavy baggage is not advised.)

  • Packing Tips: Pack lightly; boat transfers have weight restrictions. Any excess weight will cost a charge for each kilogram.

  • Cash: There are no ATMs within the area. Take enough cash for your trip. For emergencies, there is a Western Union office located within Capurganá where you can withdraw cash after paying the commission.

  • Charter flights Mon & Fri from Enrique Olaya Herrera (EOH)Capurganá

  • 5‑min walk or mototaxi to the port → 5–10 min boat to Bahía Aguacate

From Bogotá (two options)

  • Via Medellín: Daily flights Bogotá ↔ Medellín (LATAM, Avianca), then follow Medellín routes above.

  • Via Apartadó: Daily flights Bogotá ↔ Apartadó (Clicair, Satena) → 1 hr taxi/bus to Turbo, 2hr to Necocoli -> boat to Capurgana..

    • Note: An overnight may be required due to boat schedules.

From Medellín → Turbo or Necoclí

From Cartagena → Necoclí (via Montería)

From Bogotá or Cali → Montería → Necoclí

  • Daily flights to Montería (Clicair, JetSMART, LATAM, Avianca)

  • 2.5 h shared taxi Montería → Necoclí

Boat schedules often change, be sure to check. To arrive directly to us ask to go to Aguacate from the port town of Turbo or Necocolí.
